Water Systems Data Analyst

Minneapolis Water Treatment & Distribution Services (WTDS), a division of the City’s Public Works Department, is the largest drinking water utility in the upper Midwest. This impactful position will play a critical role in improving the utility’s information management and reporting processes for our water treatment control systems. This job is primarily focused on:

Supporting and training operations staff and others in the use of our existing reporting system and enhancing the system through the development of reports, dashboards, and other metrics;

Reviewing current business practices and offering technical solutions to create efficiencies and improve workflows; and

Supporting a variety of other software systems such as meter reading, laboratory equipment and control system technologies.

The formal title for this job code is Business Applications Analyst II as listed in the MPEA salary schedule.

Work Location

This position may be eligible for flexible work arrangements, including hybrid work with some days working remotely and some days working in the office.
