Corporate Legal Assistant

Position Overview

Polsinelli is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant (Legal Secretary) to support attorneys within its Corporate & Transactional, Technology Transactions & Data Privacy, Real Estate, and Energy practice groups in Los Angeles.

This position is ideal for a polished legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced law firm environment, enjoys supporting multiple attorneys, and can independently manage competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct administrative support to attorneys in multiple business law practice groups
• Open new matters and maintain client files
• Manage attorney calendars, scheduling, and travel arrangements
• Draft, edit, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
• Coordinate document management and transactional closing documents
• Handle client communications professionally and confidentially
• Prepare and process e-filings
• Track deadlines and ensure timely completion of assignments
• Prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff across offices and departments

RequirementsRequired

• 5+ years of Legal Administrative Assistant or Legal Secretary experience in a law firm
• Experience directly supporting attorneys
• Background with a mid-size or large law firm
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience managing calendars, travel, document preparation, and matter opening
• Excellent proofreading, typing, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Corporate & Transactional law experience
• Real Estate practice support experience
• Technology Transactions and Data Privacy exposure
• Energy law practice exposure
• Transactional document management experience
• Experience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously
• E-filing experience
