Experienced Bookkeeper (not entry level)

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable bookkeeper to join our operations team. This role focuses primarily on the organization of financial data as well as internal and external reporting. The right candidate takes ownership of their work, catches their own errors, and maintains disciplined records without the need for constant correction.

Primary Responsibilities

• Enter financial transactions into accounting software accurately and on schedule
• Collect and organize supporting documentation for all transactions
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a regular basis
• Maintain and update vendor and client records
• Process accounts payable and receivable entries
• Assist in preparing data for regular financial and transactions reports
• Flag discrepancies and communicate issues to the lead bookkeeper
• File and archive financial documents per established procedures

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related experience
• Working knowledge of double-entry accounting principles
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or comparable software
• Strong spreadsheet skills (Excel or Google Sheets)
• High attention to detail with a consistent accuracy rate
• Ability to manage and prioritize routine tasks independently
• Associate degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred

Compensation & Benefits

Salary is commensurate with experience. This position includes opportunities for advancement as the team grows pending your performance.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
