Accounting Bookkeeper

Job Overview

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Job description

The Bookkeeper reports to the Owner and is responsible for, but not limited to, maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions, accruals, financial statement preparation, and performing general accounting functions, as required.

Requirements

Education (combined 7 years’ experience between education/work experience)

• Working knowledge of Sage (or similar)

Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment

Thrives in a collaborative, team player office environment

Ability to work well with internal and external contacts

Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills

Duties

• Audit AR/AP
• Updating/understanding the GL – preparing journal entries for fixed assets, depreciation, etc.
• Run monthly trial balance and adjust accordingly
• Provide owners with monthly financial reports – balance sheet, income statement, equity, etc.
• Banking needs – prepare bank deposits, reconciling bank statements
• Administration of quarterly business and payroll taxes
• Maintain required business documents Maintain required business documents
• Update & Maintain business procedures
• Perform other related duties as may be requested by owner

Professional Development: Attend product knowledge seminars as offered.

Experience

• Accounting: 3 years (Preferred)
• bookkeeping: 2 years (Preferred)
• Relevant: 2 years (Preferred)
