Duties

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with Tax, GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory requirements.
• Manage tax reporting processes, including individual, corporate, and estate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to tax law.
• Assist clients with tax planning strategies such as estate planning, wills, trusts.
• Reconcile accounts, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and maintain the general ledger for multiple clients or departments.
• Support regulatory compliance accounting efforts related to securities law, financial reporting standards, and industry-specific regulations.
• Utilize accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar tools for bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and data analysis.
• Collaborate with clients on financial analysis, budgeting, asset management, and investment strategies to optimize their financial health.
• Conduct detailed account analysis including accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing to ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred; If you are working toward your license we will help get you there.
• Demonstrated expertise in tax compliance including individual tax return preparation and corporate tax strategies.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or similar platforms; strong skills in bookkeeping and financial software tools.
• Ability to interpret complex financial concepts including securities law and non-profit accounting where applicable.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; ability to explain technical details clearly.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in account reconciliation and financial analysis tasks.
• Experience with mergers & acquisitions, asset management or private equity is a plus.
• Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements related to securities law or industry-specific standards is advantageous.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
