Gear.com
Thank you for your interest in this position. We are eager to hire an exceptional performance marketing expert to join the Gear.com team. If you want to put a dent in the online retail universe, read on.
Gear.com is one of the iconic properties on the web, and we are building it into a disruptive leader in online retail. We are primarily focused on the outdoor industry, but are expanding into adjacent categories.
Our innovative approach helps our brand partners build customer awareness and loyalty, minimize product discounting, improve understanding of customer preferences, and accelerate their own direct-to-consumer business.
Our model is better for consumers because they become passionate fans of the new and interesting brands we expose them to. And we do this with lower system-wide costs and a smaller carbon footprint than our competitors, allowing us to be the only Climate Neutral Certified retailer in the world.
We are leveraging our iconic domain, world-class shopping experience, compelling curated brands and products, efficient sourcing, and sophisticated marketing capabilities to disrupt the traditional ecommerce business model.
We are looking for a performance marketing expert to join the leadership team, reporting directly to the Founder and CEO. The Manager or Director of Performance Marketing will be responsible for all strategic and tactical aspects of efficiently allocating a 5-6 figure monthly media spend across multiple platforms, including Google, Facebook/Instagram, Criteo, and others.
Gear.com is an ideal place to work. Our team is scrappy, fun, and entrepreneurial. We work hard and we play hard. We are 100% work-from-home. As long as you have an internet connection, and computer, you can work from anywhere. As a member of the leadership team, you’ll need to be available for in-person meetings in the greater Salt Lake City area 1-2 times per month.
If you're currently based outside of Utah, we would expect relocation to Utah by the end of 2021.
Compensation will have a base salary as well as a metric-driven component. Total compensation will be in the $80,000 to $100,000 range.
Gear.com employees receive typical benefits, including a 401K with matching, a free OpenFit membership, monthly credit to spend on Gear.com, and amazing discounts on the products we sell.
If you are a scrappy, creative, hard-working risk-taker who wants to do something you can tell your grandkids about, please send your resume and a short (<100 words) cover letter to jobs@gear.com.
