Bookkeeper

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our HonMex team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will help us streamline financial processes, support budgeting efforts, and produce reliable financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems
• Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
• handle payroll-related transactions with precision and confidentiality
• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records, ensuring timely payments and collections
• Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Assist with governmental accounting requirements and non-profit accounting procedures as needed
• Support budgeting activities by analyzing expenses and revenue trends using spreadsheets and financial software tools

Skills

• Extensive experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms
• Strong knowledge of accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger management
• Proficiency in spreadsheets for account analysis, budgeting, and report writing
• Familiarity with payroll processing, tax experience, and government reporting standards
• Ability to perform account reconciliation accurately and efficiently
• Understanding of GAAP standards and technical accounting practices
• Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills
• Effective communication skills for preparing clear financial reports and collaborating with team members

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
