Role Overview

The Vice President, Sales – Business Traveler USA is responsible for driving revenue growth across the Business Traveler USA portfolio, including the magazine, digital platforms, annual awards event, and television programming. This role provides day-to-day leadership of the sales team while developing and executing commercial strategies to maximize revenue, profitability, and return on investment.

Working closely with the Managing Director, the VP will lead direct, agency, national, and portfolio sales initiatives, maintain key client relationships, and foster a high-performance sales culture. The position also collaborates with global Business Traveler leadership to support international revenue opportunities and implement best practices across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth across all Business Traveler USA assets.
• Lead, coach, and motivate the Business Traveler USA sales team to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
• Manage sales forecasting, asset reporting, targets, commission structures, and incentive programs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, agencies, and strategic partners.
• Actively sell advertising solutions and manage a portfolio of key accounts.
• Identify and pursue new revenue streams and market opportunities.
• Ensure team members maintain strong product, competitor, market, and sales process knowledge.
• Collaborate with the Managing Director to develop and execute quarterly and long-term commercial strategies.
• Monitor individual and team performance, providing regular coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and talent development initiatives for the sales team.
• Facilitate regular one-on-one meetings, team meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions.
• Produce weekly reports highlighting business performance, revenue results, and development needs.
• Partner with Editorial and other internal stakeholders to develop commercial opportunities while maintaining brand integrity.
• Support employee relations, performance management, and other leadership responsibilities as needed.
• Collaborate with global Business Traveler teams to maximize revenue opportunities across the wider portfolio.
