We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to join our accounting team. Position Summary

The Corporate Accountant will oversee accounting operations across multiple company locations and play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and reporting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with financial reporting, account reconciliations, inventory accounting, sales tax compliance, and QuickBooks.

This position requires a highly organized professional who can work independently while maintaining the highest level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Reconcile inventory and investigate inventory variances.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and file sales tax returns and assist with multi-state tax reporting requirements.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Coordinate with outside CPA firms during tax preparation, annual reviews, and year-end close.
• Support budgeting, cash flow analysis, and financial forecasting.
• Work closely with management to improve accounting procedures and strengthen internal controls.
• Perform other accounting and financial duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on QuickBooks experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of Distribution and Inventory accounting experience required.
• Strong experience performing bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, account reconciliations, month-end close, and journal entries.
• Proven experience preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Strong background in inventory accounting and inventory reconciliations.
• Experience preparing and filing sales tax returns, use tax, and multi-state tax compliance.
• Experience assisting with year-end closings and working with outside CPA firms.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and lookup functions.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Preferred Experience

• Multi-company or multi-location accounting experience.
• Experience with inventory costing and inventory control systems.
