Full Charge Bookkeeper

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper with prior public accounting experience for a fully remote project opportunity with a well-known and reputable organization. This position is ideal for Bookkeepers who have experience managing multiple client accounts while performing cleanup and catch-up work in fast-paced environments.

The Full Charge Bookkeeper will be responsible for reviewing books prepared by clients or previous bookkeepers, identifying inaccuracies, resolving discrepancies, reconstructing accounting activity when needed, and ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date. The ideal Full Charge Bookkeeper will have prior experience working for a CPA firm, CAS practice, outsourced accounting group, or advisory firm.

Responsibilities for the Full Charge Bookkeeper:

Managing bookkeeping for multiple clients simultaneously.

Reviewing books prepared by clients, offshore teams, or previous bookkeepers and identifying errors or inconsistencies.

Performing cleanup and catch-up work to bring financial records current and accurate.

Investigating discrepancies and determining root causes rather than simply making corrections.

Reviewing reconciliations, financial statements, general ledger activity, and supporting documentation for accuracy.

Preparing and maintaining accurate monthly financial records and reporting.

Working within QuickBooks Online and Xero environments.

This is a short-term contract opportunity assisting through a critical tax deadline. Candidates must be able to work independently, think critically, and manage multiple client engagements in a fast-paced environment.
