Director of Growth & Partnerships

USTA Midwest is seeking a collaborative, strategic, and relationship-driven leader to serve as Director of Growth & Partnerships. This role will strengthen the connection between the Midwest Section and its District organizations, helping translate shared growth priorities into clear plans, practical tools, measurable goals, and consistent execution across the region.

The Director will serve as a trusted strategic partner to District Executive Directors and Section leaders, supporting alignment, accountability, and performance in key growth areas, especially entry-level tennis participation. This is an opportunity for a leader who excels at building trust, influencing without direct authority, using data to guide decisions, and helping teams move from strategy to action.

What You’ll

• Do Build strong, collaborative partnerships with District Executive Directors and Section leaders to support shared priorities and a “one team” approach.
• Help translate long-term growth strategy into annual operating plans with clear goals, timelines, ownership, and performance measure
• Support district-level execution of entry-level growth initiatives in partnership with leaders focused on schools, parks, community outreach, and program deliver
• Strengthen alignment and effectiveness of Tennis Service Representative resources across the Midwest
• Develop scalable lead generation, outreach, and conversion models to expand participation through schools, parks, community organizations, and other partners.
• Lead improvements in data, reporting, KPI tracking, database management, and performance analytics to support decision-making and impact storytelling.
• Identify gaps, remove barriers, scale best practices, and support continuous improvement across districts.

What We’re Looking

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of leadership experience in operations, sports management, nonprofit, membership-based, or field-based organizations.
• Experience working in a decentralized, federated, or multi-unit environment strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, build trust with independent stakeholders, and create alignment around shared goals.
• Strong strategic planning, operational execution, facilitation, communication, and change management skills.
• Experience using data, reporting, and analytics to measure progress, improve performance, and communicate impact.
• Knowledge of tennis or a participation-based sports ecosystem preferred; ability to quickly build domain knowledge required
