Evening Receptionist for Private School and Bright Minds Center

Renert School (K-12) is an innovative private school in NW Calgary and our Bright Minds Tutoring Center. Our school requires a Receptionist like no other, who will work closely with the administrative team to provide support in all aspects of the after school operations. The successful candidate must love working with children in a fast-paced environment, and has the following competencies:

Responsibilities include

• Acting as a point of contact for the school: students, staff, parents and guests
• Ensuring the safety and security of the school at all times, making sure entry to the premises is controlled. Ensuring that all visitors sign in and take a visitor badge where necessary
• Providing for children’s personal needs, by attending to those who may get sick or hurt
• Some communication with parents and referring inquiries to appropriate persons
• We are also looking for someone who has flexibility and can float between a few different depts to provide some cross training
• Must be able to multi task and handle a busy environment

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years customer service experience/reception
• Experience working with children is a must, particularly in a school/daycare environment, would be an asset
• Current criminal record check (including vulnerable sector check)
• Must be able to work the whole week from Mon - Friday 3:00 - 8pm. Some Saturdays may also be occasionally required along with weekday evening events.
