Mid-Weight Copywriter

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are therefore looking for a TTL Medium Weight Writer. Must have 5

years' experience.

To complement the above, we'll also be looking for

• Highly conceptual individual (Must show a minimum of 2 projects)
• Track record of leading the conceptualization and execution of campaigns (Show minimum of 4 examples)
• Must demonstrate in-depth understanding of new and existing digital and emerging platforms like AI.
• Bonus: Won/Shortlisted at international and or local awards (i.e. Cannes, One Show, Loeries, Clios, Bookmarks etc.)
• Must show examples of problem solving
• Must be comfortable with key conceptual thinking and execution that sometimes entails 360 roll out.

As a medium weight creative, you will work with our passionate, multi-talented studio delivering on exceptional, integrated concepts and designs that exceed client briefs and expectations.

A Medium Weight TTL Writer is an important contact point in our agency, so they can expect to be craft-led, strategically driven, media agnostic, agile and consistently conceptual, with a desire to transform brands by creating exceptional, intuitive, and human-centred products and experiences.

The successful candidate must be tuned into all aspects of South African popular culture, trends, platforms and the media it plays in, as well as have a strong point of view on what it takes to win in this space.

Exceptional writing ability is paramount.

Must be able to work on two sizable and one medium size project at any one time – Can you juggle more than 1 project at a time?

What you'll do everyday

Responsibilities

• Be au fait with digital marketing
• Manage your creative process on projects
• Work with other disciplines (Strategists, Developers, Media, Accounts, etc.)
• Be a champion for digital and cultural innovation on every project you touch
• Drive real-time optimisation of the digital work in partnership with strategy and media
• Engage in pitches for new business
• Define and apply the brand voice and tone of overall campaigns
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Generate ideas and present them into clients and other members of the team
• Write up creative ideas (rationalise succinctly and with clarity)
• Write across multiple channels
• Consistently produce creative elements against a deliverables list
• Participate in brainstorms & conceptualisation
• Lead the writing craft of your idea
• Compile presentations for clients (internally & externally)

You'll also be required to develop the following

• You understand Pan African culture (live it breathe it, and eat it)
• Strong communication skills with ability to provide rationales for creative choices made
• Exceptionally strong presentation skills
• In-depth working knowledge of existing and emerging technologies & platforms
• A strong understanding of strategic processes
