Thought Leadership Manager

Trialogue, a corporate social investment (CSI) and sustainability consultancy and publisher, is looking for a thought leadership manager to join its thought leadership team. The team includes a client relationship coordinator, a technical administrator, a production coordinator, and part-time writers, researchers and administrators, and is overseen by one of Trialogue’s executive directors.

The thought leadership manager works across the thought leadership platforms, ensuring that they are well-sponsored and supported by companies, that content is of the highest quality, and that the platforms continuously grow and innovate.

The thought leadership manager is also responsible for the development and oversight of a company-wide marketing and communications strategy that helps position Trialogue as a thought leader in responsible business.

Specific responsibilities include

Project and team management

• Manage the successful delivery of the various knowledge-sharing platforms (particularly the conference, handbook, knowledge hub and webinars), including developing and managing budgets, timelines, responsibilities, milestones and team meetings
• Plan and facilitate the conference and monthly webinars, including developing topics, identifying and inviting speakers, liaising with clients and sponsors, and facilitating sessions
• Manage and provide support and guidance to the client relationship coordinator, technical administrator, production coordinator, researcher, administrator and writers
• Manage digital content strategy and oversee technical requirements of websites
• Lead and manage design, development, and creation of e-learning courses
• Identify and manage service providers, including designers, writers, contractors, production companies and facilitators, as needed

Content management

• Stay abreast of industry trends, as well as the themes and topics covered by local and global peer organisations
• Lead the content development – themes, topics, experts, speakers, authors – for the Trialogue knowledge-sharing platforms (conference, handbook, webinars, knowledge hub), in consultation with colleagues, clients and experts
• Liaise with clients and sponsors on content and how to drive their brand messaging and thought leadership, together with the client relationship coordinator
• Contribute to client proposals and support sales across thought leadership platforms
• Support product development and alignment across the Trialogue thought leadership platforms
• Identify opportunities to grow existing thought leadership products or introduce new thought leadership offerings

Marketing and communication

• Develop organisational marketing and communications strategy and annual communication calendar
• Oversee implementation of strategy and execution of communication calendar
• Manage organisational marketing trade exchanges
• Establish and manage relationships with PR agencies and identify opportunities for public profiling of Trialogue’s thought leadership and knowledge-sharing

Applicants must have

• A graduate qualification
• A good understanding of the role of business in society and social development, including a deep curiosity about the drivers of, and trends in, responsible business
• At least three years’ experience in the responsible business sector
• At least five years’ experience in project and people management
• Experience in business development and marketing and communications preferable
• Experience in digital content management, editing, writing, and e-learning preferable
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Working knowledge of WordPress and Canva preferable.
