We're looking for a Front-End Developer to join our Product Engineering team in Cape Town. If you're passionate about creating intuitive, high-quality user experiences and enjoy working in a collaborative Agile environment, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

As a Front-End Developer, you'll play a key role in designing and building modern, responsive web applications. Working closely with Product Owners, UX Designers, QA Engineers, and fellow developers, you'll deliver engaging user experiences while contributing to a high-performing engineering team.

You'll also leverage AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity while ensuring all code meets high standards for quality, performance, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop modern, responsive web applications using React.
• Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable front-end components.
• Translate UX/UI designs into intuitive, high-quality user experiences.
• Integrate front-end applications with backend APIs and services.
• Write clean, well-structured, and testable code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and estimation.
• Work closely with QA to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding, testing, and debugging while validating outputs for accuracy and quality.

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Matric / Grade 12.
• Strong experience with React and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and front-end best practices.
• Experience consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile software development.
• Ability to evaluate and validate AI-assisted development outputs.

Nice to Have

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Context API, etc.).
• Knowledge of Python or .NET backend environments.
• Experience working with Azure.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with automated front-end testing frameworks.
