Front-End Developer (Angular)

We’re working with an established insurtech company — a software provider to the insurance industry — and they’re looking for an Intermediate Front-End Developer (Angular) to help build its insurance-management platform.

You’ll work across the software development lifecycle, translating business and technical requirements into product features, and building high-quality, well-tested solutions with modern tooling and AI assistance.

What you’ll do

• Collaborate with product owners and architects to translate business and technical requirements into product deliverables
• Translate requirements into technical specifications and conduct impact analysis
• Implement technical specifications and develop new product features
• Manage code, merges and version control with Git
• Test your work before hand-off to QA, demo completed development, and create user documentation
• Take part in scrum processes

What you’ll bring

• Intermediate-level experience with a solid understanding of the SDLC, software design patterns, TDD and OO design
• Good working knowledge of Angular 11+, RxJS observables, NgRx Store, RESTful APIs and Git
• An IT degree or diploma
• Familiarity with AI tools to boost delivery and quality

Advantageous

• Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence), TypeScript 3+, JavaScript ES6+, HTML5 / CSS3 / JSON
• Microservices and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Insurance, insurtech, financial services or fintech experience

Working model

Hybrid, based in Cape Town — two days a week in the office.
