Works to create and manage test-driven development of advanced HPC tools.
Assists researchers in both getting started on the system and in improving their workflows to produce results more efficiently.
Serve as a technical consultant for sponsored research projects that require high-performance computing, storage, and networking services.

Required Job Qualifications
U.S. work authorization required
Pursuing or having a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related technical field.
Experience using Linux or Unix operating systems.
Basic programming experience in Python, Bash, or another scripting language.
Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Job Qualifications
Experience working with High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments.
Experience with Python and/or Bash scripting.
Experience compiling software from source in Linux environments.
Familiarity with MATLAB, R, or RStudio.
Experience with Git version control and JupyterHub.
Provide first-level technical support by assisting users with HPC access, account onboarding, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
Assist researchers with HPC systems, research storage, data transfers, scientific workflows, and batch computing environments.
Develop, maintain, and improve Python/Bash scripts, technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and web content supporting Research Computing services.
Collaborate with researchers to evaluate computational requirements and recommend appropriate computing, storage, and networking resources.
Create and deliver user training materials, workshops, and documentation while communicating technical concepts to users with varying technical backgrounds.
