Diamonds By Dawn is a respected, family-owned fine jewelry store dedicated to exceptional customer service, beautiful jewelry, and operational excellence. We are seeking an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented professional to join our team as our Bookkeeper & Inventory Control Assistant.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys bookkeeping, organization, inventory management, and helping a business operate efficiently. You'll work closely with ownership and management while playing a key role in the day-to-day success of our store.

Position ResponsibilitiesBookkeeping & Accounting

• Perform light bookkeeping and accounting functions
• Enter and maintain accurate financial records
• Assist with Accounts Payable and invoice processing
• Reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and vendor statements
• Calculate and verify employee commission reports
• Prepare reports and spreadsheets for management

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate inventory records
• Process merchandise receiving and inventory entry
• Assist with inventory audits and cycle counts
• Research and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Help improve inventory control processes

Administrative Support

• Process and track jewelry insurance claims
• Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical)
• Support management with office administration and special projects
• Assist in improving operational workflows and efficiencies
• Maintain confidentiality of company and employee information

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess

• 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, office administration, inventory control, or a related administrative role
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• High level of professionalism and integrity

Technical Skills

Candidates should have experience with

• Microsoft Excel (required)
• Microsoft Word
• Outlook
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Spreadsheet creation and data management

Preferred

• QuickBooks experience
• Experience with inventory management software
• Jewelry industry experience (helpful but not required)
