Paralegal, Plaintiff-Side Employment Law

Panitz Law Group is a well-established plaintiff-side law firm representing individuals in employment law cases, including employment discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, and related workplace claims. We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and motivated Paralegal to support our growing litigation practice.

The ideal candidate has strong litigation support experience, excellent writing and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment. This role is well-suited for someone who is proactive, precise, and committed to advocating for employees and individuals whose rights have been violated.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft legal documents, including discovery requests and responses, interrogatories, subpoenas, motions, witness declarations, deposition outlines, correspondence, and other litigation materials.
• Support trial preparation by organizing exhibits, preparing trial binders, coordinating witness schedules, and assisting with pretrial filings and logistics.
• Conduct case-related legal research, including statutory and case law research, using Westlaw, Lexis, and other legal research databases.
• Manage deadlines, case calendars, court filings, discovery schedules, and litigation logistics with precision.
• Assist in case development, including gathering and organizing evidence, reviewing documents, preparing chronologies, summarizing records, and coordinating with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel.
• Prepare and organize materials for depositions, mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and trial.
• Maintain case files and ensure all documents, pleadings, correspondence, and discovery materials are accurately organized and updated.
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, vendors, opposing counsel, and other parties as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior paralegal or litigation support experience required; employment law experience preferred.
• Strong drafting, proofreading, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with discovery, motion practice, subpoenas, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Experience using Westlaw, Lexis, or comparable legal research platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and case management or document management systems.
• Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
