HR Manager

My client is seeking an HR Manager to lead and enhance their employee relations, compliance, performance management, and HR operations. This role is crucial for ensuring full compliance with UK employment law, maintaining workplace ethics, and fostering a positive employee experience.

Day-to-day of the role

Coach and support managers on employee relations matters and effective people management.

Ensure compliance with UK employment law, GDPR, and other relevant regulations through regular HR audits.

Build, implement, and maintain robust HR policies, procedures, and frameworks.

Manage organisational risk and liaise with external legal advisers as required.

Drive performance management frameworks and support employee engagement initiatives.

Support salary benchmarking, pay reviews, and manage the employee lifecycle from hire to exit.

Modernise and improve HR systems, ensuring scalable and efficient workflows.

Produce HR reports and dashboards to support strategic decision-making.

Communicate effectively with all staff on relevant HR matters and manage employment relationships to promote a positive culture.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience in HR management, particularly in employee relations and compliance.

Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.

Experience in managing HR audits and compliance with GDPR.

Ability to lead and implement HR policies and procedures.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of fostering positive relationships with team members and external partners.

Experience with HR systems and producing detailed reports and insights.

Leadership skills with a focus on values-based management and performance culture.
