Senior Human Resources Business Partner

Role: Senior Human Resources Business PartnerLocation: Victoria, LondonHours: 9am to 5pm (but can vary)Salary: £140K DOE (plus bonus)I am seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to support a Front Office population within a fast-paced financial services environment.

This role is ideal for a commercially minded HR professional who enjoys being close to the business and actively involved in the day-to-day delivery of HR support across the full employee lifecycle.

While the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to people strategy, projects and organisational planning, this is fundamentally a hands-on HRBP role. The emphasis is on execution, problem-solving and practical delivery rather than operating solely at a strategic or transformation level.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner closely with Front Office leaders and managers, providing pragmatic, commercially focused HR support and guidance.
• Maintain direct ownership of the full employee lifecycle, ensuring HR matters are managed effectively, consistently and at pace.
• Lead and personally manage complex employee relations matters, investigations, performance concerns and organisational issues.
• Drive performance management processes, coaching managers through performance discussions, talent assessments and development planning.
• Support compensation, promotion and reward processes, providing practical advice and ensuring smooth execution.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring activities and workforce growth plans.
• Deliver talent management and succession planning activities, ensuring key talent is identified, developed and retained.
• Support organisational changes, restructures and workforce planning initiatives, taking an active role in implementation rather than purely advisory support.
• Work closely with managers to improve team effectiveness, engagement and leadership capability.
• Lead and develop a small HR team, including HR Business Partners and Early Careers professionals, ensuring high-quality HR delivery across the business.
• Contribute to graduate, intern and early careers programmes where relevant.
• Experience and Background
• Approximately 10+ years of HR experience, including significant HR Business Partnering experience within financial services.
• Strong Front Office HRBP experience supporting revenue-generating populations such as Investment Banking, Markets, Trading, Research or similar.
• Experience gained within banking, investment banking, asset management, hedge funds, proprietary trading or comparable environments.
• Proven track record of managing employee relations, performance management, compensation, talent management and organisational change activities directly.
• Demonstrated experience operating in lean environments where HRBPs are expected to deliver as well as advise.
• Previous people management experience, including leadership of HR Business Partners and/or Early Careers professionals.
• Experience supporting workforce planning and organisational effectiveness initiatives.
