Job Responsibilities

As a Revenue Recognition Accountiant, you will play a pivotal role within the General Accounting team, focusing on specialised accounting areas such as US GAAP technical accounting and local statutory reporting for the APAC region. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing functional accounting processes for the APAC region, including revenue, inventory, leases, fixed assets, and projects.
• Overseeing operational and month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, analytical reviews, and US GAAP reporting.
• Collaborating with global and cross-functional stakeholders to establish effective review and communication processes.
• Driving and participating in process improvement initiatives using analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley internal control requirements and maintaining relevant documentation.
• Supporting quarterly reviews, annual audits, and project testing for assigned areas.
• Performing general accounting duties, including financial closing, reporting, analytical reviews, and statutory audits.

Ideal Talent

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting/Finance; Chartered Accountant/CPA qualification is a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in MNCs or Big 4 firms, with proficiency in US GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience in the life sciences and/or manufacturing industries is advantageous.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
• A proven track record in driving projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition under ASC 606 / IFRS 15 and experience with data analytics tools is a plus.

Day-to-Day

Your daily activities will include

• Managing and executing accounting processes for the APAC region.
• Preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Collaborating with global teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing solutions.
• Supporting audits, reviews, and strategic projects as required.
