Operations Manager

To lead operational delivery across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, ensuring high standards of service, customer satisfaction, compliance, safety and financial performance. The Operations Manager provides leadership to Contract Managers and field teams while supporting business growth, operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

Up to 7 direct reports with responsibility for operational teams, field colleagues and subcontractors across Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership
• Oversee delivery of all operational activities across Ireland.
• Ensure Planned
• Preventative
• Maintenance and Reactive - works are completed to agreed standards and timescales.
• Manage operational escalations and drive service consistency.
• Support contract mobilizations and service expansions.
• People Management
• Lead, develop and support Contract Managers.
• Conduct regular performance and operational reviews.
• Drive coaching, succession planning and accountability.
• Ensure teams achieve KPIs and comply with company standards.
• Customer Management
• Act as a senior operational contact for customers.
• Support customer reviews, complaint resolution and recovery plans.
• Ensure actions arising from customer feedback are completed within agreed timescales.
• Resource & Workforce Planning
• Manage operational capacity, workforce deployment and subcontractor performance.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and workforce development.
• Ensure effective operational coverage across all territories.
• Compliance, Safety & Commercial Performance
• Maintain compliance with Health & Safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Monitor audits, training, Garda Vetting and corrective actions.
• Review contract performance, support budgeting and forecasting, and identify opportunities for revenue growth and operational efficiencies.
• Continuous Improvement
• Improve processes, reporting and operational visibility.
• Drive adoption of operational systems and best practices.
• Reduce administrative burdens and increase productivity.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading multi-site operational teams.
• Strong people management, coaching and leadership capability.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts and contract performance.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, compliance and risk management.
• Strong customer relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to analyse KPIs and drive operational improvements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and operational management systems.
• Excellent communication, organisational and decision-making skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Grounds Maintenance, Arboriculture, Infrastructure, Environmental Services or Facilities Management, together with contract mobilization and multi-site operational management experience across Ireland.
