Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $34.00 to $50.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the monthly close process by preparing journal entries and completing bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review and maintain general ledger activity to ensure accurate department coding and account usage.
• Process vendor payments by reviewing invoices, managing approval queues, and preparing payment runs.
• Record prepaid activity and ensure balances are properly tracked and amortized.
• Assist with day to day accounting tasks while supporting continuity during role transition.

Requirements

• Ability to perform month end close tasks independently and meet established deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail when preparing reconciliations and reviewing account activity.
• Experience processing accounts payable payments and resolving invoice questions.
• Comfort working within a cloud based accounting environment and using collaboration tools.
• Ability to support multiple priorities and adapt quickly during a backfill period.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with NetSuite, including journal entries, general ledger coding, reconciliations, and close workflows.
• Prior experience supporting month end close procedures in an accounting role.
• Working knowledge of vendor payment processing and invoice review procedures.
• Proficiency with Google tools such as Gmail and Google Sheets.
• Previous experience in a senior or full cycle accounting role.
