Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant (CPA or EA) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a motivated professional with strong technical tax knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while delivering exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, S corporation, trust, and estate tax returns.
• Prepare tax projections and provide proactive tax planning recommendations.
• Research federal and California tax issues.
• Respond to IRS, FTB, EDD, and CDTFA notices and assist with tax representation matters.
• Review financial statements and accounting records.
• Communicate directly with clients to gather information and answer tax-related questions.
• Mentor and assist junior staff when appropriate.
• Maintain accuracy while managing multiple client engagements and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Active CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA).
• Minimum 5 years of recent public accounting tax experience required.
• Strong experience preparing complex individual and business tax returns.
• Excellent knowledge of federal and California tax laws.
• Experience with tax planning and tax research.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

• Experience with high-net-worth individuals.
• Experience with real estate taxation.
• Experience with professional service businesses.
• Experience using Lacerte Tax Software.
• Experience with QuickBooks.
