Summary

Under general supervision of the Manager, University Budget, incumbent performs a variety of budget related assignments supporting the University Budget office.

Working independently, incumbent maintains budget information using integrated financial systems and/or other type of records management systems; compiles financial information; prepares financial projections, generates resource reports by creating and maintaining spreadsheets and data bases; computes and posts financial transactions; performs financial analysis; monitors and reconciles fund/account balances; prepares fund allocations; provides technical budget assistance to campus community; identifies process issues and provides input on system and process improvements; assists with the implementation and evaluation of new or revised processes and procedures.

Required Education And Experience

Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Additional experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.ANDTwo years of relevant experience. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

PreferencesPreference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:

• Bachelor's degree in business with a concentration in finance or accounting Advance use and experience with MS Excel creating complex spreadsheets for large data sets
• Experience with the creation of ad hoc data queries and analysis
• Experience delivering financial presentations and training

Salary Range

$62,136 - $90,516 per year.
