Accounts Payable & Payroll Accountant (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: West Los Angeles (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)

Pay: Up to $35/hour

Schedule: Standard business hours

We're partnering with an established consumer products company seeking an Accounts Payable & Payroll Accountant to join their Accounting team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role is ideal for someone with a strong AP foundation who has payroll exposure and is looking to expand their general accounting experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Process high-volume accounts payable and invoice processing
• Provide backup support for payroll processing
• Assist with expense reporting and account reconciliations
• Support month-end close activities
• Assist with onboarding paperwork and other accounting/finance projects as needed

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of accounting experience
• Strong Accounts Payable experience
• Payroll support experience required
• Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, Paylocity, or similar is a plus

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow beyond AP into broader accounting responsibilities. The team is willing to train on financial reporting, variance analysis, and additional accounting functions while offering exposure to payroll and cross-functional finance operations.
