Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Process and verify a high volume of vendor invoices using various financial systems such as Workday, SAP, or Oracle, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Perform account reconciliations for accounts payable and related general ledger accounts to ensure data consistency and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Manage invoice approvals, coding, and entry with precision, utilizing Excel data analysis skills including formulas like VLOOKUP for efficient processing.
• Maintain compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls by documenting procedures, conducting audits, and supporting internal control testing.
• Handle vendor inquiries regarding payment status, discrepancies, or billing issues professionally and efficiently.
• Assist in automating accounts payable workflows through the use of financial software such as Paychex, QuickBooks, or Sage to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Support month-end closing activities by preparing journal entries related to accounts payable transactions and ensuring timely completion of all reconciliation tasks.

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on accounts payable processing; experience in public accounting is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial concepts related to double entry bookkeeping.
• Hands-on experience with financial software such as Workday, SAP, Oracle PeopleSoft, UltiPro, ADP, Kronos, Ceridian, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel—demonstrated through advanced functions like VLOOKUP formulas and spreadsheet analysis.
• Familiarity with accounts payable automation tools and electronic invoice processing systems.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion while maintaining high levels of accuracy in data entry and account reconciliation.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of payroll management systems like ADP or Kronos is advantageous for understanding related processes such as benefits administration and human resources integration.
