Sr. Accountant

Robert Half Management Resources is looking for a Sr. Accountant to help one of our clients on an interim basis. This position offers the opportunity to manage essential accounting activities, deliver meaningful financial analysis, and contribute to high-priority operational initiatives in a hybrid environment.

The role is well suited to an organized individual who can work independently, communicate effectively, and maintain accuracy across multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review detailed financial reports, translating accounting data into clear insights for business decision-making.
• Perform variance analysis against budget and actual results, while helping maintain rolling cash flow projections.
• Record and validate complex journal entries supported by schedules, reconciliations, and underlying documentation.
• Reconcile general ledger activity and bank accounts, investigating discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.
• Support month-end close activities to ensure accurate and timely completion of accounting deliverables.
• Assist with audit preparation by organizing schedules, responding to information requests, and supplying required documentation.
• Contribute to data validation efforts tied to system-related project work by comparing records and confirming accuracy between datasets.
• Identify inefficiencies in existing accounting processes and recommend practical improvements to strengthen controls and workflow effectiveness.
