Role Description

This full-time Business Development Manager role is based in Auckland and follows a hybrid working model, with a mix of office-based and work-from-home days. The role is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and securing new business opportunities, as well as growing revenue from existing clients through consultative relationship management.

Daily activities include prospecting and outreach, delivering tailored presentations and product demonstrations, negotiating commercial terms, and collaborating with internal teams such as marketing, product, and operations to drive client success.

The Business Development Manager will monitor market trends and competitor activity, maintain accurate sales pipelines and reports, and ensure that client onboarding and ongoing support align with OFX’s standards for compliance and customer experience. This position plays a key role in expanding OFX’s presence in the New Zealand market and supporting global growth objectives.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within financial services, fintech, or B2B solutions.
• Strong skills in prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline management, with the ability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
• Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships, combined with consultative selling and negotiation skills.
• Comfort working with digital platforms and data-driven insights, including CRM tools and basic analytics for decision-making.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial or technical concepts in clear, accessible language.
• Collaborative mindset, with experience working cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations teams.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a proactive approach and accountability in a hybrid work environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Knowledge of foreign exchange, international payments, or risk management solutions is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand and availability to work primarily from Auckland with some flexibility to work from home.
