Employment Details

• Full-time and part-time candidates will be considered
• Local candidates strongly preferred
• Hybrid work environment with no required in-office schedule; however, we encourage regular in-office attendance during onboarding to support training, collaboration, and team connection

• Fulltime annual salary range is $85,000-$95,000; parttime compensation is $40-50/hour

Accounting Associate Key Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of client accounts, serving as the primary day-to-day contact and trusted advisor on bookkeeping and financial operations
• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records
• Complete timely and accurate monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Manage financial transactions, including coding, posting, and reviewing for accuracy
• Monitor and manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections support
• Conduct periodic reviews of client accounting records, identify and resolve discrepancies, and ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of outstanding items
• Support preparation of financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and other client deliverables
• Support accounting cleanup, catch-up bookkeeping, and historical reconciliation projects
• Coordinate client communications related to quarterly estimated tax payment deadlines and other recurring financial deliverables
• Assist with time entry review, client billing, and invoicing processes
• Collaborate with team members and provide proactive support to ensure a responsive, high-quality client experience

Work Experience & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field strongly preferred
• Minimum of five years of accounting or related professional experience
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills
• Strong technology skills with the ability to quickly learn and navigate new software applications
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, Studio Designer, or similar accounting, project management, or design-industry software is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
• Experience reviewing, interpreting, and analyzing financial reports
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trusted client relationships
• Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills
• Ability to work efficiently, meet deadlines, and respond promptly to client and team needs
