Compensation

$40 – $60/hour (Dependent on Experience)

Location: New York, NY

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Atlantic Group is hiring an Accountant (Fund & Management Company) in New York, NY for our client, supporting management company accounting, fund accounting, and financial operations within an asset management environment. In this temporary role, you will manage accounts payable, expense allocations, and month-end close while supporting capital activity and audit processes.

You will utilize NetSuite and advanced Excel to maintain accurate records, manage financial workflows, and support reporting across multiple entities.

Responsibilities as the Accountant (Fund & Management Company)

• Accounts Payable: Process invoices, expense reports, and intercompany allocations with a high level of accuracy and timeliness.
• Expense Allocation: Manage rebilling and allocation of expenses across entities and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Month-End Close: Support the close process through account reconciliations, accruals, and preparation of supporting schedules.
• Fund Activity: Assist with capital call and distribution processes, including preparation of investor statements.
• Financial Reporting: Maintain accurate records and schedules supporting financial statements and internal reporting.
• Audit Support: Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits, including regulatory reviews.

Qualifications for the Accountant (Fund & Management Company)

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Experience: 3+ years of accounting experience with exposure to fund accounting or management company accounting.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of private equity, private credit, or financial services accounting and multi-entity structures is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite is preferred.
• Skills & Attributes: Demonstrates strong attention to detail, organization, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
