Supply Chain and Operations Manager

With strong momentum across Australia and international expansion underway, we're looking for a Supply Chain and Operations Manager to take ownership of our supply chain and operational functions and help build the foundations for the next stage of growth.

The Role

This is a high-impact role reporting directly to the founders.

You will own the day-to-day management of Quips' supply chain, procurement, inventory, logistics and operational compliance. Your role will be to ensure we always have the right stock, in the right place, at the right time, while continuously improving efficiency and profitability across the business.

You will work closely with manufacturers, suppliers, freight providers, customs brokers, 3PL partners, wholesalers and retail customers across Australia and internationally.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and building systems within a fast-growing consumer brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Supply Chain & Procurement
• Manage procurement of ingredients, alcohol, packaging and finished goods.
• Forecast inventory requirements and maintain optimal stock levels.
• Coordinate production schedules with manufacturing partners.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance.
• Negotiate pricing and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure supply continuity across all product lines.
• Inventory Management
• Own inventory forecasting and replenishment planning.
• Monitor inventory levels across manufacturers and warehouses.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and reporting.
• Minimise stock-outs while optimising working capital.
• Conduct stock reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Logistics & Fulfilment
• Manage relationships with 3PL and warehousing partners.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound freight.
• Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Manage deliveries to wholesalers, distributors and national retail customers.
• Continuously improve logistics performance and efficiency.
• Customer Operations
• Manage the operational requirements of major customers including wholesalers and national retail groups.
• Coordinate order processing and fulfilment activities.
• Ensure customer supply chain requirements are met.
• Act as the key operational contact for logistics and inventory-related matters.
• International Trade & Customs
• Manage the importation of alcohol, ingredients and packaging materials.
• Coordinate customs clearance, freight forwarding and import documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all import and export requirements.
• Explore and establish export opportunities and distribution pathways.
• Coordinate export logistics and international shipments.
• Develop strong relationships with freight and customs partners.
• Compliance & Regulatory
• Manage excise reporting, reconciliations and payments.
• Coordinate bonded inventory movements and excise compliance.
• Maintain licensing, insurance and regulatory obligations.
• Manage CDS reporting and compliance requirements.
• Ensure operational compliance across all areas of the business.
• Continuous Improvement
• Monitor landed costs, operational KPIs and product margins.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop systems and processes that support growth.
• Drive improvements across supply chain, inventory and logistics functions.

About You

2+ years experience in operations, supply chain, procurement or logistics.

Strong organisational and project management skills.

Highly detail-oriented with excellent follow-through.

Comfortable working across suppliers, manufacturers and logistics providers.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Experience in liquor/beverage/FMCG is highly regarded.
