Job Description

Our client, a leading professional services organisation, is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project/Programme Manager to lead the successful delivery of large-scale technology transformation initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced delivery professional to oversee complex programmes, engage with senior stakeholders, and drive strategic technology change across enterprise environments.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale technology and business transformation programmes from initiation through to successful implementation.
• Develop and manage programme roadmaps, ensuring key milestones, risks, dependencies and deliverables are effectively controlled.
• Coordinate multiple project workstreams while maintaining alignment with business objectives and organisational priorities.
• Build strong relationships with senior business and technical stakeholders, providing regular reporting, recommendations and programme updates.
• Ensure robust programme governance through effective management of budgets, risks, issues, resource planning and benefits realisation.
• Lead multidisciplinary delivery teams across internal functions, third-party suppliers and external partners.
• Support the implementation of project management best practices, delivery methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to business development activities by identifying opportunities to enhance technology delivery capabilities and client outcomes.
• Mentor and support project managers and delivery teams, encouraging high performance and professional development.
• Experience

Required

Minimum 8 years' experience delivering complex technology programmes within consulting, professional services or large enterprise environments, or 10+ years' experience delivering enterprise technology transformation within industry.

Proven track record of managing large-scale digital transformation, systems integration or enterprise change programmes.

Strong experience managing multiple stakeholders across business and technical functions.

Demonstrated ability to oversee programme governance, financial management, delivery planning and reporting.

Experience leading geographically dispersed or matrix-managed delivery teams.

Strong understanding of project and programme management methodologies including Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery approaches.

Excellent communication, leadership and negotiation skills with experience presenting to senior management and executive stakeholders.

Ability to balance strategic programme oversight with detailed delivery execution.

Desirable

Skills

• Experience delivering programmes involving Cloud Migration, ERP, CRM, AI, Data & Analytics, Digital Transformation, Infrastructure, Service Management or Systems Integration.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow or similar enterprise service management platforms.
• Experience within Financial Services, Public Sector, Utilities, Technology, Retail, Manufacturing, Telecommunications or Life Sciences environments.
• Familiarity with programme governance including RAID management, budget tracking and benefits realisation.
• Professional certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, PMBOK, SAFe, Agile or equivalent project management qualifications.
• Experience contributing to business development, client relationship management and proposal development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent third-level qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant professional certifications in Project or Programme Management would be highly advantageous.
