Assistant Accountant (1 year contract)

The Company

Our client in the chemical industry is currently seeking a 1 year contract Assistant Accountant to join their dynamic team.

The Role

The role is responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounting and treasury functions, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, inventory accounting, and cash management, while ensuring compliance with IFRS and company policies.

Other responsibilities include overseeing month-end and year-end closing activities, preparing accurate financial reports for headquarters, supporting internal and external audits, participating in the SAP migration through User Acceptance Testing, and ensuring proper accounting and tax documentation.

Your Profile The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Degree in Accountancy and has 3 to 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience. They possess strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and effective communication skills, with the ability to manage month-end deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, along with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
