Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead the organisation's technology function, ensuring the stability, security and continuous improvement of its IT infrastructure, business systems and digital capabilities. This is a hands-on leadership role combining responsibility for IT operations with driving digital transformation through artificial intelligence, automation and process improvement.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to shape and deliver the organisation's technology strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the organisation's IT infrastructure, cloud services and third-party IT providers.
• Administer and optimise Microsoft 365, SharePoint and core business applications.
• Lead cyber security, data protection, backup and disaster recovery initiatives.
• Manage software licensing, hardware assets, IT budgets and vendor relationships.
• Oversee user onboarding, access management and technical support processes.
• Develop and implement the organisation's IT strategy and technology roadmap.
• Identify, implement and optimise AI solutions and workflow automations to improve business efficiency.
• Build integrations between business systems and support the adoption of AI technologies across the organisation.
• Deliver training and guidance on business systems, Microsoft 365 and AI tools.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements that support business growth.

Requirements

• Third-level qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of five years' experience in an IT Management, IT Systems or Digital Operations role.
• Proven experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams and associated technologies.
• Demonstrable experience implementing AI solutions within a commercial environment.
• Proven track record designing and delivering workflow automation that has generated measurable business improvements.
• Experience managing cyber security, vendor relationships, software licensing and IT governance.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• Ability to balance strategic technology planning with hands-on technical delivery.
• Desirable Experience
• Experience working within construction, engineering, property, facilities management or other project-based industries.
• Knowledge of enterprise operational or project management platforms.
• Experience leading digital transformation initiatives.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, automation platforms and modern workplace solutions.
