Senior Financial Accountant

Our client, a globally recognised leader in the transportation and heavy industrial sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Manager to join their high-performing finance team based in Kempton Park.

This role is ideally suited to a qualified CA(SA) or CIMA professional with strong exposure to project accounting, inventory, and manufacturing environments, looking to step into a strategic, leadership-focused position.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full financial management function, including reporting, controls, and compliance.
• Oversee project accounting across large-scale, long-term contracts.
• Manage and optimise inventory and stock control processes.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure strong governance and internal controls (SOX exposure advantageous).
• Partner with operational and engineering teams to support project performance.
• Provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership.
• Lead and develop finance team members.

Qualifications & Experience

• CA(SA) or CIMA qualification is essential
• Minimum 5+ years’ post-qualification experience
• Strong experience within industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or project-based environments
• Proven track record in project accounting and stock/inventory management
• Exposure to SOX or similar control frameworks (advantageous)
• Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills
