Senior Accountant - GL

Senior GL Accountant | Africa Services | FinanceAre you a detail-oriented finance professional with strong General Ledger experience and a passion for delivering accurate financial reporting? We are looking for a Senior GL Accountant to join our Finance Business Partner team, supporting Africa Services.

In this role, you'll be responsible for managing complex general ledger activities, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, analysing financial information, and providing valuable insights to business stakeholders. You'll work closely with leadership teams, helping to drive operational excellence and financial accuracy.

Key Responsibilities✔ Review and analyse general ledger accounts and financial transactions.✔ Support month-end and year-end close activities.✔ Manage budgeting and forecasting processes.✔ Review debtor balances, ageing reports, and recovery activities.✔ Prepare and analyse profit and loss reports and balance sheet schedules.✔ Support intercompany accounting and reconciliations.✔ Assist with audits, tax pack preparation, VAT support, and fixed asset reporting.✔ Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and provide financial guidance.

Requirements✅ Degree or Honours in Finance or Accounting.✅ Minimum 4 years' experience in a finance environment.✅ Strong General Ledger and financial reporting experience.✅ Sound SAP knowledge and financial systems experience.✅ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.✅ Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
