Senior Accountant

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the organization by ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective collaboration across departments. This position offers the opportunity to rotate across various Corporate Finance functions, providing broader experience and exposure.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Handle a full set of accounts and maintain accurate and timely financial records.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, with a primary focus on Accounts Payable.
• Support daily accounting operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
• Prepare and submit monthly financial reports and management reporting packages.
• Prepare and review annual financial statements and liaise with external auditors.
• Prepare quarterly GST returns and support tax and compliance audits where required.
• Coordinate with external tax consultants on tax computations, filings, and related matters.
• Facilitate half-yearly and annual statutory audits.
• Support the implementation and enhancement of finance and accounting systems.
• Maintain and update accounting policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Investigate and resolve accounting and finance-related issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in finance transformation, automation, and process improvement initiatives.
• Assist with corporate governance and company secretarial matters as required.
• Undertake ad hoc assignments and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualifications.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting systems.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively and deliver results.
• Good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
