Audit Senior

Our client, a well‑established medium‑sized accountancy practice based in Dublin, is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with at least 2 years’ Irish practice experience who is looking to broaden their audit exposure in a supportive, collaborative, and community‑focused firm.

Working with a diverse portfolio of local SMEs, family‑owned businesses, and growing companies, the successful candidate will gain hands‑on experience and enjoy genuine opportunities for professional development.

The Role

• Lead and manage audit assignments for a range of SME clients across various sectors
• Plan, execute, and complete audits in line with relevant auditing standards
• Supervise and support junior team members, offering guidance and mentorship
• Build strong client relationships and act as a key point of contact during audits
• Prepare audit files for partner review and assist with the finalisation of financial statements
• Identify control weaknesses and provide practical, value‑adding recommendations

Requirements

• ACA or ACCA‑qualified Chartered Accountant
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a practice‑based audit role
• Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles
• Excellent communication skills and a personable, client‑focused approach
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a busy practice environment
• Experience with audit software (e.g., Case
• Ware) is an advantage but not essential
