Full Charge Bookkeeper

We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to support a construction company in New York, New York. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can independently manage day-to-day accounting activities while maintaining accurate financial records. The role requires strong experience in construction accounting environments, including hands-on work with Sage 100 and job costing.

You will play a key part in keeping financial operations organized, timely, and compliant.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full bookkeeping cycle, ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and maintained in an organized manner.
• Manage incoming invoices and outgoing payments while monitoring vendor accounts for accuracy and timeliness.
• Track customer billings, apply payments, and follow up on outstanding balances to support healthy cash flow.
• Complete regular bank and account reconciliations to confirm the integrity of financial records.
• Prepare financial reports and statements to provide leadership with a clear view of business performance.
• Maintain job cost records and allocate expenses appropriately to support project-level financial tracking.
• Utilize Sage 100 to process accounting activities, update records, and generate reporting as needed.
