Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision and creativity, ensuring high standards of taste and presentation.
• Collaborate with the head chef to plan menus that cater to dietary needs while maintaining an innovative and appealing selection.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
• Assist in the training of new kitchen staff, sharing your expertise in cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked at all times.
• Participate in catering events, showcasing your culinary talents beyond the restaurant setting.
• Uphold quality control measures for all food items prepared, ensuring they meet our fine dining standards.
• Engage positively with team members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and efficiency.

Experience

• Proven experience as a line cook or chef in a fast-paced restaurant or casual fine dining establishment is essential.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
• Familiarity with dietary department operations or experience as a dietary aide is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability in menu planning that accommodates various dietary restrictions while maintaining flavor and quality.
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation are required for this role.
• Previous experience in French restaurant is a plus, allowing for versatility in culinary offerings.
• A solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices is crucial for maintaining kitchen hygiene.
