Part-Time Bilingual Call Center Customer Service Representative

DataStaff is in immediate need of a Part-Time Bilingual Call Center Representative for one of our direct clients in the Chicago area.

Bilingual in Spanish is highly desired

NOTE: This is a hybrid position and candidates will mostly work from home but are required to go into the office once a month after onsite training.

It requires you to have a professional, quiet workspace, free from distractions with high-speed hard-wired ethernet internet capability and a smartphone.

Position Type: Part Time (3 to 5 days per week, 4-5 hrs. per day based on needs of the business)

Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm CST.

Staff will need to be available M-F, 8am - 6pm, but will most likely work a closing shift starting as early as 10am or as late as 1pm and getting off anytime between 2pm - 6pm.

Training Schedule/Duration: 100% attendance is expected. Reinforce the importance of attendance during training and nesting. There should be no time off requests or requests to leave early or arrive late during the training period. The expectation is that a supplier will not present a candidate with a prescheduled appointment during the training period.

Missed time during the training period may result in termination.

Training Hours: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM M-F CST | 3 weeks training / 2 weeks nesting

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls from consumers including the general public, prospective enrollees and people assisting enrollees or acting on their behalf in accordance with all performance standards, policy and procedures, and protocols including but not limited to the confidentiality and privacy policies.
• Track and document all inquiries using the applicable systems.
• Answer incoming calls from consumers and providers.
• Complete associated tasks according to the established guidelines.
• Meet Quality Assurance (QA) and other key performance metrics.
• Facilitate the fulfillment of caller requests for materials via mail, email, or download.
• Transfer/refer consumers to appropriate entities according to the established guidelines.
• Escalate calls or issues to the appropriate designated staff for resolution as needed.
• Facilitate translation services for non-English speaking callers according to procedures.
• Attend meetings and trainings as requested and maintain up-to-date knowledge of all programs and systems.
• Complete and/or process new applications for health care coverage via the telephone including building tax household, household income, eligibility determinations, interpreting determinations made by the Marketplace, and enrollment into health plans. Transfer/refer consumers to appropriate entities according to the established guidelines.

Required Skills

• High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) is required; Associate Degree is preferred.
• 1-3 years of inbound call center customer service experience is required, healthcare is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to remain positive and professional during stressful periods.
• Ability to work in a high-speed environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Proven ability to effectively multi-task, and complete work timely and accurately.
• Proficient typing skills with attention to accuracy and quality are essential.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.

Pay: $17.50 - $18.20 per hour
