Part Time, Temporary Position: 20 hours per week; 2.5-month term (July – September 2026)

Based in Seattle; hybrid workplace

JOB DESCRIPTION

Seattle Parks Foundation is seeking a temporary bookkeeper for 20 hours a week to assist with daily accounting functions for 2.5 months. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Review payment requests and enter the approved request data in the GL.
• Follow up with Staff to address issues that may impede prompt payment requests.
• Oversee monthly/recurring bills.
• Run the weekly payment reports for the Accounting Manager’s review.
• Provide the payment information to the Director of Finance.
• Manage the CEO’s check signing schedule to cut checks per defined schedule.
• Post additional information in QB, such as Grant/Contract billable expense.
• Interact with Vendors about payables.
• Run monthly and quarterly financial information reports for fiscal sponsees.
• Other general bookkeeping and office duties as needed.

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Keen attention to detail and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
• A results-oriented mindset and creative ability to problem solve.
• Experience with Quickbooks desktop, experience with Sage Intacct a plus.
• Experience working with Microsoft products. Experience with Salesforce an asset.

COMPENSATION

• Hourly range of $25-32/hour.
• Flexible hours and schedule, to be determined and communicated with your manager.
