Position Summary

You will perform day-to-day accounting functions related to our four locations. The Bookkeeping Clerk will be responsible for data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll entry, and provide accounting support for other ad hoc projects. Must have General Ledger accounting knowledge. This position will work in the office.

Essential Functions

• Act as a resource to Sr. Accountant and management staff
• Participate in preparation of bi-weekly payroll
• Receive, verify, code and enter invoices
• Organize weekly payment run
• Ensure timely payments of invoices and expense reports
• Monitor accounts to minimize risk of delinquency charges to the company
• Create and maintain accurate and complete vendor files
• Vendor relationship management – build trustworthy relationships with our vendors
• Identify, research and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Monitor accounts receivable and help with collection of past due balances

Qualifications include

• Two or more years of experience in the bookkeeping/accounting field
• Strong data entry skills, mathematical aptitude, and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledgeable and adept in use of Excel spreadsheets, including creating formulas, templates, sorting, LOOKUP function and pivot tables
• Focus for extended periods and maintain attention to detail
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
