Legal Administrator/Bookkeeper

Join our dynamic legal team as a Legal Administrator/Bookkeeper, where your expertise will drive efficiency and accuracy in our administrative and accounting functions. Duties

• Maintain and update legal documentation, contracts, and compliance records with precision and confidentiality;
• Perform bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations using accounting QuickBooks Online;
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections;
• Prepare detailed financial reports;
• Conduct regular account analysis, budget monitoring, and general ledger reconciliation to maintain financial integrity.

Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and balance sheets in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

Full proficiency with Intuit QuickBooks; IOLTA banking reconciliation; Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with learning new software programs.

Comfort with switching between tasks, assuming different responsibilities, and assisting others as the need arises;

Strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach;

Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize workload and deal with stress in a fast-paced work environment;

Effective under pressure and in high-volume situations with multiple priorities and deadlines;

Ability to demonstrate proactiveness and persistence in daily work;

Excellent analytical thinking, research experience, and problem-solving skills; and

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Requirements

• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles in a legal setting;
• Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online;
• Extensive knowledge of accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation;
• Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and bank reconciliations
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy;
• Strong communication skills for preparing clear financial reports and supporting legal documentation processes.
