Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Bookkeeper with strong expertise in QuickBooks and various accounting software to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, helping monitor payroll, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Your proactive approach will help maintain the financial health of our organization, supporting both operational efficiency and strategic decision-making. Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general ledger accounting by recording journal entries, debits & credits, and managing the double-entry bookkeeping system.
• Reconcile bank statements and perform balance sheet reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Manage payroll processing in compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, including financial report writing and analysis for management review.
• Utilize various financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Quicken to streamline bookkeeping tasks.
• Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.

Skills

• Extensive experience with accounting software including QuickBooks (especially QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, and Quicken.
• Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and governmental accounting standards.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel or similar), with the ability to perform complex data analysis and budgeting.
• Knowledge of payroll processing, tax experience, and government reporting requirements.
• Familiarity with public accounting practices as well as non-profit accounting procedures.
• Ability to perform bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately.
• Excellent technical accounting skills including journal entries, account analysis, and financial concepts such as debits & credits.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in account analysis and 10 key typing proficiency.

Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour
