Duties

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes with precision, consistency, and flair, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Assist in supervising kitchen staff, providing leadership and guidance during shifts to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage food safety protocols by following sanitizing procedures, proper food handling, and storage practices to maintain a safe kitchen environment.
• Support inventory management efforts by tracking supplies, minimizing waste, and assisting with stock control to optimize food costs.
• Collaborate with the culinary team on menu planning, special event catering, and banquet preparations to deliver memorable dining experiences.
• Oversee shift management duties including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring timely service delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with health regulations and safety standards at all times.

Experience

• Proven experience in a professional kitchen setting, preferably within fine dining or high-volume restaurant environments.
• Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience in a culinary context.
• Extensive food production and food handling expertise, including catering and banquet experience.
• Familiarity with inventory control, cost management, and food safety sanitizing procedures.
• Strong background in food service management, menu planning, and kitchen operations.
• Experience working within the food industry with a focus on hospitality excellence.
• Knowledge of dietary requirements and ability to adapt recipes accordingly is a plus.
• Previous roles involving restaurant or catering experience that showcase leadership skills as a chef or kitchen supervisor are highly valued.
