Accounts Payable Associate

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Associate to join our finance team. The Accounts Payable Associate will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of our property management business. This individual will be responsible for processing invoices, ensuring timely payments to vendors, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and review a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently for assigned portfolio.
• Obtain necessary approvals for invoice payments and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Prepare check run proposals for review by AP Manager, who reviews and processes payments.
• Assist in vendor management by monitoring changes.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Assist in month-end closing procedures, including reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis as needed.
• Quarterly assembling of invoices for replacement reserve draws.
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounts payable policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and discrepancies.
• Assist in process improvements within the department

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of accounts payable experience, preferably in property management or real estate.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of accounts payable principles and best practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Additional Requirements

• Knowledge of RealPage property management software is a plus.
• Knowledge of relevant tax regulations and property management accounting practices is beneficial.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
