Scrum Master

Scrum Master Contract - Initial 6 Months Dublin, HybridMy client, a multinational professional services firm is on the lookout for an experienced Scrum Master with Java exposure to join their team on an initial 6 month contract with view for extension.

The Job

Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives) for engineering teams building high-integrity financial and revenue software.

Partner with Product Owners and business stakeholders to refine backlogs, ensuring user stories for payment processing, tax workflows, and ledger systems are clear, prioritized, and compliance-ready.

Actively identify, track, and clear team blockers while protecting engineering capacity and championing Agile best practices to ensure reliable, predictable sprint delivery.

Track and communicate delivery metrics (burn-downs, velocity, lead time) to ensure visibility across technical teams and cross-functional financial stakeholders.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, team autonomy, and high quality within an environment subject to strict auditing, data privacy, and security standards.

Have You:

• Accumulated 4-6 years of hands-on experience as a dedicated Scrum Master or Agile Coach within software development teams
• Served as a Scrum Master for engineering teams building on Java platforms and modern cloud/microservices architectures
• Managed Agile delivery within the financial services, tax, payments, or revenue management software domain
• Demonstrated a clear understanding of Irish/EU regulatory considerations (such as SEPA, data protection, or audit trails) as they relate to software release cycles
• Earned a recognized Agile certification (e.g., PSM I/II, CSM) and demonstrated expertise with modern backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
